How To Bet On The Tote

The minimum stake is £1.00 on the win, place and jackpot pools and 50p on the forecast and trio pools. All dividends are returned to a £1.00 stake. Each tote machine can supply all your bets.

Win- Simply select one dog to finish first (one bet)

Place- Simply select one dog to finish first or second (one bet)

Forecast- 'Straight'. Choose two dogs to finish first and second in correct order (one bet).

Forecast- 'Reversed'. Choose two dogs to finish in either order (two bets).

Forecast- 'With the field'. Choose one dog to finish first with any other dog to finish second (five bets).

Trio- 'Straight'. Select three dogs to finish first, second and third in correct order (one bet).

Trio- 'All ways'. Select three or four dogs with any three to finish in first, second and third in any order. (3 dogs=6bets, 4 dogs=24 bets)

Trio- 'With the field'. Select one dog to finish first with any of the other dogs to finish second or third (20 bets), or choose two dogs to finish first and second in correct order with any other dog to finish third (4 bets).

Jackpot- Pick 6 Jackpot, races 6-11 inc (Sat) races 9-14 inc (Tues & Fri). All bets to be placed before the start of the jackpot, making your selections in all 6 races. If the jackpot is not won it will be carried forward to the next evening meeting.

Lucky Dip- £1.00 units available before race 6 for the jackpot pool at any tote betting point.
